Grumpy Little Elves

"Umm..."

date: January 7, 2006

This song is stolen from its original flash animation, which was much funnier. The FULL song is hilarious, while this stolen piece isn't even that good.
Animation needs a lot of work.

"Hmm..."

date: January 7, 2006

Well, for the graphics and the sound/voice-acting I've given it a 'high' seven (ie I voted 4 and gave you the benefit of the doubt).

However, I feel that these animations are far too formulaic, but it's not particularly fun. It's just a case of; Lumpy arrives >> new invention >> Lumpy gets bored >> Lumpy presses switch >> Machine goes wrong.
IMO something more unexpected should happen, or just something overall more funny I guess.

Great artwork/animation and voice acting, good luck with future endevours!

Primal War

"Cool"

submission: Primal War
date: December 16, 2005

This was really cool, loved the artwork and animation. Interesting if kinda of sudden and random idea.

However...the music was a really bad choice, IMO your ambient sound (artillery and explosions) would have served well with something quieter as background music, or even some grunts/war-cries to keep it from being TOO silent.

This was however really good in spite of that, and I'd love to see a second version with different music if possible? Or another movie in a similar vein =)

Santa's Christmas Carol

"Pretty neat"

date: December 15, 2005

Quaint little story, good for a chuckle and a nice Christmas spirit thing going.

Oh, and the Carol of the Bells cover is not by Metallica, but by the Trans Siberian Orchestra (they do rock covers of things like Beathoven's 5th and other classical pieces).

When's part two? I'm interesting to find out what effect the lemon had!

Clock Classics 2

"Pretty good"

submission: Clock Classics 2
date: December 2, 2005

Okay, first things first, one of the highlights of this for me was the lack of those godawful computerised voices. I'm sorry, but they were the annoying in the first clock movie, and they've only got more-so since then so good on you!

The art style was good, very well done for the "classic" style of it all.

Humour was so-so, give a random character a top-hat and I'm laughing, the 'conversation' with sir clock was quite funny.

Overall a good submission. In future I'd work on timing, the speech 'indicator' (the little waving thing next to the clock) should be sped-up/shortened since there's no talking/words at that point, meanwhile the words spoken should remain in view for a little while longer to make it easier to read. If you're a fast reader then try to get roughly how long it took you to read, then at 20% or so for slower readers.

Author's Response:

The timing was exactly why I didn't do that. I made it so that the text boxes would begin and end on certain points in the music. However, your point is still valid, it would have been a more enjoyable movie if the text boxes had been slower. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Holiday Super Frnds Ep2p1

"Hmm"

date: November 29, 2005

*sighs* Toilet humour.
At least the execution was reasonable, but toilet humour is low, surely you can do better?
Art was brilliant as usual, and voice acting/erm...sound effects were very good.

I'll watch part 2, I'm hoping it's to a higher standard of humour though, at least excessive slapstick/grotesque violence, which is a few steps up.

Star Crap Episode3 (1/2)

"Pretty cool"

date: November 16, 2005

For the most part the humour was so-so, but the fight scene with Dooku made the whole thing. There better be more Dooku in part 2...somehow. Even just as a bonus at the end to entertain me.

Really cool flash!

One thing though to mark down the sound, you didn't acredit the baby's scream to Cesaro Summability by Tool, though if Flash Kit stole it from there then maybe you can be forgiven that one =)
